Our Staff

“Dr. Frank” grew up in Chicago Heights and went to St. Agnes grade school and Marian Catholic
High School. He did his undergraduate studies at Loyola University in Chicago as a chemistry
major.In 1981 he graduated from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduation, Dr. Frank worked for 3 years at Barden’s Animal Clinic in Lowell, Indiana and
then for 20 years at Markham Animal Clinic where he worked with his father, Dr. Jorg H.
Hoogeweg and sister, Dr. Heidi G. Hoogeweg. In 2004 Dr. Frank moved to Frankfort Animal
Care Center. In 2006 he worked at Mill Creek Animal Clinic. In the beginning of 2007, Dr. Frank
was working at Lincolnway Animal Hospital in Matteson, Illinois until Cedar Way Veterinary
Clinic opened.

Dr. Frank’s enjoys educating pet owners about the care of their pets. He likes all aspects of
surgery in general and especially knee surgery (anterior cruciate ligament rupture surgery and
other patellar surgery).

Dr. Frank has two children, a son, Justin Tyler and a daughter, Jordyn Taylor.
His family also consists of 2 orange tabby felines, Ben and Jerry.
