Frank E. Hoogeweg, D.V.M.

I am a native of Chicago Heights and attended Marian Catholic High School. My calling to become a veterinarian came when as a teenager I worked at my father’s clinic, Markham Animal Clinic.

I did my undergraduate studies at Loyola University in Chicago majoring in chemistry. I received my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) degree from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981.

After graduating I accepted a position as an associate veterinarian at Bardens Animal Clinic in Lowell IN. After 3 years, practicing with my family became a priority for me and I was able to practice with my father and sister for 20 years at Markham Animal Clinic. This experience was invaluable and guided me into pursing my dream of having my own veterinary clinic.

My dream turned into reality on July 2, 2007 when I opened Cedar Way Veterinary Clinic.

It has been an honor to provide affordable, quality and compassionate care for dogs, cats and the clients of our community. Go Chicago Blackhawks!
